History

Copley Cricket Club celebrated its 125th Anniversary year in 2005 and in that time has won the Halifax League 1st Division Championship 15 times and the Parish Cup 5 times. Other teams representing the club at both senior and junior level have also won many trophies.

Throughout its history the club has been keen to retain its family orientated image and this has been maintained during a recent period of increased membership. We have in excess of 100 junior members with ages ranging between 7 and 17, some of whom have represented the club in Calderdale and Yorkshire teams in various age categories.

There are now more coaches working with these youngsters than there has ever been and for the start of the 2008 season we will also have two new female coaches.

The club’s first team has won the 1st Division title 4 times since the turn of the century and we are proud that many of this squad have grown up through the Junior teams at Copley.
