June 28th Copley - 211 (nett) for 7, lost to Buttershaw - 212 (nett) for 6
Another very close game in gloomy playing conditions - in fact our last three games have all gone to the last ball and we have been unlucky to miss out in two of them. Unfortunately we lost too many wickets whilst batting to post a truly competitive score, although a good run rate was maintained throughout. In reply, however, everyone bowled and fielded well and we looked like a team who thought that they could win. It was a great effort by all, although we just missed out in the end. Joe Garside and Oliver Pasek each got two wickets, and Alex Conway and Rachel Hoyle one each. |
